Roland (Rollie) Osborn, 88, of Copley, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024. Rollie was born April 19, 1936 to the late Alice and Raymond Osborn. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister Marilyn McCollough.
He graduated from Copley High School in 1954 where he played Football, Basketball, Baseball and Track and earned 12 letters. He was member of the 1954 team that reached the quarter finals in the state tournament. The team finished the season with a 25-1 record, which still stands as a Copley High School record. Rollie was quite active in his school years being involved in the Choir, Band, Orchestra and was Senior Class President. After high school he attended Wooster College on a Football Scholarship.
On September 15, 1956 he married Patricia Ann Wilcox and raised 3 children.
He was a youth baseball coach for 19 years, as well as coach for basketball and soccer. He served as President for four years of the Copley Athletic Association. He was a founding member of the Copley Adult All Sports Booster Club which he served as president for two years. In 2011 he was inducted into the Copley Athletic Hall of Fame.
Rollie retired from Key Bank in 1996 as Vice President. He was previously employed as Vice President with the Dime Bank and Huntington Bank. After retiring he and his wife wintered in Florida for 19 years where he was able to play golf year-round.
Rollie loved to play golf, watch sports, play cards, and watch the game show network. He leaves behind his wife Pat of 68 years, children Dale (Char), Tim (Shellie) and Nancy (Andy), 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
