On November 28th, 2023 Jacob L. Mostoller, “Lanny” entered the loving Arms of God our Savior. His wife, children, grandchildren, and cousins were with him .
Lanny was a very outgoing person who was very open hearted. Lanny grew up on a farm in Granger, Ohio. He graduated from Highland High School - The fun class of “59”. He worked for Rollin Lang and Leland Alber before starting his own business Mostoller Excavating and Trucking, working all over Medina County including Ryan Homes, and Medina Supply.
Lanny included his nephews, brother, children, and friends, into his business and work and labors of excavating and trucking.
Lannys youthful life of Farming was ingrained in his being, and he was fulfilled when he purchased THE FARM In Sharon twp. Ohio. This farm continued his endeavors of teaching, learning, sharing, giving, Plowing, harvesting, hayrides, family reunions, picnics, running playing and living the country life. Lanny was honored to be a member of the Medina Co. Antique Power Club, he felt a commitment to preserving tractors, land, and farming for all generations to learn and appreciate.
Lanny had a love for his church, Mt. Zwingli UCC. Lanny felt God’s guidance and purpose everyday of his life.
Lanny greatest joy was his children and Grandchildren. The Kids were his true treasure and he never hesitated to tell everyone about them. “They are the best of my Life”
Lanny was preceded in death by his Father and mother Jacob B and Margaret A. Mostoller, his brother Jerry A. Mostoller, father-in -law Kenneth L. Dustin, Mother-in-law Marjorie Dustin Boyes, and step-father-law Richard Boyes.
Lanny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia (Dustin) Mostoller, sons- Andrew (Tara),Ted, Timothy “Bubba” (Alicia) Mostoller, and daughter Susan (Larry) Hockenberry. His beloved grandchildren-Dustin, Johnny, Ben, Ethan, Katie,Ryan,Anna, Gracie, Danny, Bella, Jozalin, Mikey, and Robbie Mostoller, “Huck”, Autum, Austin, Cody Hockenberry. Two Great grand kids Paisley and Jackson Hockenberry. His sister, Patricia (Dave) Gangle; and his brother, David (Roseanne Boscarelo) Mostoller; his brothers-in-law, Tom Dustin and Perry (Nancy) Dustin; and his sister-in-law, Cathy Prokarat.
